What are some words that you would use to describe a Sirens voice?
Sirens: Gorgeous creatures that take the form of women with the most beautiful singing voice that you could ever imagine. They enchant men at sea and lure them into the water where they leave them to drown. If a mann can resist her it is said that the Siren must jump into the sea and drown herself.
Okay, that was just a quick background on Sirens, in case you didn’t know what they were. I’m writing a novel and Sirens sort of play a theme in it. I need help describing their voices. I need words to help describe the sound of their singing and I am running out of ideas. I am not asking you to write the novel for me, I am simply asking for some descriptive words and maybe a few sentences here and there if you want to be really helpful.

Honestly, though, I think it would be far more effective to describe the reactions of the people listening (following the rule of show-not-tell). Describe how they lose consciousness of their movements and approach the singers without noticing, maybe start crying with the beauty of the song, etc.

Divorced with kid and found someone in another state.?
What should someone do if they recently divorced and share joint custody of daughter but found someone very special somewhere else? My ex has been talking and met on some occasions a guy from Houston, TX. That is approx 12 hrs from where we live now. This is not her home, she is orriginally from the west coast. I have been very supportive of her meeting someone special. The thing is, this is such a long distance to be doing joint custody, I would not get to see my daughter as much. The guy she has strong feelings for is not a US citizen )ya, sounds risky), but she swears he has good intentions. The only way he is to get his greencard is by his work who is sponcering him right now. If he leaves that job then he has to leave the country. SO, my ex is considering moving down to Houston to be with him. She says there is no other way around it. She does not want to marry him right away so she says its best she and my daughter move down there and see how it goes. Im sorry, to me this does not sound wise AT ALL! My daughter is 1 1/2 years old and my ex works as a waitress in the evenings. Things are working out good for us, I have our daughter when she works and she has her when I work. We live very close to one another and are able to help out with my daughter easily. She does not rationalize things and cannot seem to understand what would happen if she just up and moved to houston for this guy, not even knowing if it will work out. I love my daughter very much, so I am not going to get her in the middle of lawyers, judges and all that hatred. We have worked everything out like adults so far and I don’t feel it is the courts job to tell us what we have to do, she wouldn’t follow the orders anyway! I am facing the reality that she is going to move eventually, as this is not her home. I just cannot stand the thought of not having my daughter as often, I love her so much. She says we can split time with her in 3 month increments until she is in school. I just dont see any good coming of this. Is there some way he could move closer and keep his sponsorship for citizenship or is the only option for her to move down there? He seems like an ok guy from what I have heard, so that’s not the issue, I just hate the distance. Such is the life of a divorced family!
She wants to uproot her kid away from the father (you), to move 12 hours away to be with a guy she is not "with" daily now, taking a risk that they would even get along, plus he’s not even a citizen.

If joint custody is ordered by the courts, they would probably rule against her taking the child out of state unless she wants to relinquish her parental rights to you.

If you do not have a written custody agreement, now is the time to get it. If she insists, this will probably have to go before a judge for permission. She will need to prove a number of things in order to move…most important being that this is a move in the child’s best interest. This move OBVIOUSLY is not. She’s not moving for a better job, better life, just to see if it will work out with a guy who is not even a citizen. No judge in his or her right mind would take the child from a joint situation with a very involved father to leave her in the hands of a woman in search of a fling.
I know you have been adult and civil about this, but sounds like she is not thinking straight. Lawyers may have to get involved. Good luck!

I wouldn’t allow it..go get a court order if you have to..too risky and it steps all over your rights as well as your daughters rights to have dad close by..that would be a very selfish thing to do and the judge wouldn’t allow it..

Oh, its you again! The Last Starfighter was not re-issued in the UK when it was recently printed to blu ray in the States. The best you will find for a DVD is around ?40, unless you get lucky on ebay. The region 1 dvd is only ?8.99 including postage on play.com (blu ray ?14.88). Best thing to do is check out the sites listed below to get a free code to make your dvd player region free. However, do NOT pay for this service. As with everything on the Internet some scumbag will be trying to make money from this, but there are thousands of forums out there that should help you get the code for your machine.

People need to understand that everything of who we are today as a country stems from who we WERE – where we started – where our roots began. The answer to your question is simple: many in our country have a problem with gay marriage because our country is still (whether we like to admit it or not) firmly rooted in Christian principles because that’s how we were founded. We were founded on rules and laws based in the Christian moral code of the ten commandments. Our first leaders were strongly religious and probably could never imagine the day same sex couples would want to be married.
Does it make things right? NO! But you asked why. Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with gay marriage. I think if you’re willing to commit your life to someone & you’re truly in love, then you should be able to have the same rights & privileges other married couples enjoy. People seem to confuse a religious marriage with a civil one. If you’re religious, fine. No gay person is DEMANDING that you open your church & DEMANDING that your preacher perform his or her ceremony. They are simply asking for the same civil & legal rights that come as a result of marriage. I can’t imagine loving someone for 10 years, them die, and legally, you are NO ONE to that person. The state doesn’t look at you with any importance whatsoever. You have to fight to get anything. That’s not right. Gay couples should have the same legal protections & tax benefits as other straight married couples.

Which scooby doo movie do you like better?
I’m not talking about the cartoon movie so… Scooby-Doo(2002) or Scooby-Doo: The Mystery Begins! ? I think Scooby-Doo was the best because they made scooby look better and the gy who played shaggy looked like shaggy and plus the lady who played Daphine was pretty. For Scooby doo the mystery begins, the guy does not look as good as the shaggy in the other movie and the lady who played Daphine was not pretty

how much do i need to make to have a 1 serving of mega mass 4000 if i use spoon? i bought mega mass 4000 but it doesnt included a scoop or any cup inside. its my first time thats why im confused with the servings.
Depends on the size of the spoon! You may well find that there is a scoop in there – it’s just buried! Anyway on you tub of MegaMass there will be something that says how many grams per serving. If you use a digital scale you should be able to measure this and then figure out what this works out to in spoons…

well one watch out for those becuase they have good amount of fat in it and are only supposed to be used if you work out intense and cant get alot of protein from meat…plus im not sure how much 1 serving of that is so calculate how much its asking for and convert it into (tbsp)…i have a few scoops from other brands and they look about 1/2 cup size and i normally use 4 scoops or 3 with some…so thats about 2 cups or less……just buy a shaker if u dont have that has measurements on it..

coolant leaking problem in 1995 chevy lumina?
i have a 1995 chevy lumina that is leaking coolant on the DRIVERS SIDE and it is right beside the engine. if you pop the hood and are stationed at the front of the car the leaking is to the right of the engine and somewhat to the middle and down of the right of the engine. i know it is leaking there because i finally let the craptastic car run for awhile and i could see the coolant come out around that vicinity. so can anybody tell me what the problem might be? (got heat and ac, no milky white mix in engine oil, a slight smell rarely coming from the heater, everything else is smooth). please give me a good decent answer and many thanks!
oh yeah i forgot to mention the hoses are fine too
well the water pump isnt on the driverside the motor should be a 3100 V-6 the intake gaskets is the most common problem on this motors could aslo be a heat hose. Check around thermostat housing, is it was a crackhead there would be water in the oil or it would throw steam out the exhaust.

Yeah, you may have a cracked head. You may also want to check the water pump and hoses. From reading this, it sounds like your water pump.

You need to determine if the leak is from a hose or from the engine itself. (Hope for a hose). With the engine turned off and cooled down, take some rags or paper towels and wipe clean the area where you saw the leaking. Wipe dry any hoses in the area and the engine itself. Start the engine and let it warm up and run for 5 or 10 minutes. If the leak source is not obvious, puff some talcom powder around the suspect area and it will show you where the oil is leaking out. If it is a hose, it may be as simple as tightening or replacing a clamp or replacing a hose, all of which is cheap. If it is coming from the engine, the most likely cause would be a blown head gasket. Guesstimated cost $700 providing the head isn’t also cracked. Other possibilities would be a bad valve cover gasket (cheap) or even a cracked block (by by engine). Good luck and don’t rule out additives to stop the leak should it be the engine. I wouldn’t use them on a newer car, but on an old one they can buy you some time and miles cheaply without much to lose.

Get a good light under hood where engine is leaking. There are round caps pressed into the engine after the block is cast at the factory. They’re about the size of a silver dollar. These are called freeze plugs. I’ll bet it’s one of them. Go to your local parts store and ask for a expandable freeze plug and take a look at it so you know what your looking for. If you have an Autozone by you, they will check it out free for you. Get the expandable freeze plug because it’s so much easier to put in. It’s not a bad job and i’m sure you cn do it. Good Luck
