IMDB rating: 6.40 Plot: It all started when a bunch of commandos (including Jackie of course) kidnapped three scientist who were studying very powerful meteorite fragments. The mission was a success – until one of their superiors double crossed them. The commandos were then killed in a chopper crash, except Jackie who fell out of the chopper. After that, Jackie was picked up by a a tribe of South African Indians, who then asked him his name. Sadly, Jackie had lost his memory and shouted ‘Who Am I?!’ which led the Indians to think that it was his name. So he started learning their cultures and customs, while also trying to pick up their language. Later, he started having memories of things that happened before the crash, and he decided to leave the Indians in search for his identity… |

Maybe a 7. They tried too hard to make it funny…especially with all the stupid sexual stuff. The little robot humping Megan Fox’s leg and one of the robots had testicles. 7, would rate the first one as a 10, but the second one focused on too many characters. I liked it better when there was only a few good guys. Plus wasn’t a fan of the ending on how Optomus Prime was able to beat Starscream, the Fallen and Megatron so easily after getting some parts from Jetfire. Just wish that there was more of a fight.

What is a good title for my fantasy story?
I suck at coming up with meaningful titles for my stories, so I decided I need a little help.
This story takes place in a sort of alternate reality where the world is a place of poverty-stricken, crime-ridden cities. It’s inhabited by humans and elf-like creatures called Xavirs (za-veers). The Xavirs are divided into two factions, Helo and Seln. The Helo Xavirs worship the sun, and the Seln Xavirs worship the moon. Because they are opposites, they despise each other and are in a war with each other.
During all of this, a former Helo Xavir warrior named Sol wanders about. Sol is considered a traitor to Helo, and so he’s cast out of their ranks. He sees beyond all of the hate and wants peace for all Xavirs.
There’s also a half-human half-Xavir named Luna who has no clue of her lineage. She lives with a group of human orphans who are alone and steal from wealthy people to support themselves. All of a sudden, Luna and the orphans are attacked by Helo because they spot that she is part Seln. She escapes and bumps into Sol whom she travels with from then on.
Sol and Luna both discover that in order to bring peace among Helo and Seln, they have to find the two ancient scepters that control the will of the sun and the moon and join them together to merge both the sun and the moon, because only a Helo and Seln can work together to do so. They also eventually fall in love, blah blah blah blah blah: all that forbidden love stuff.
That’s about the overall plot of it. I JUST CAN’T MAKE UP A PROPER TITLE!!!

Since the ideals are in your head, its hard for anyone out here to decide. but make it vague, just an idea of what you mean to say rather than a summary. instead of calling it "the war" or "forbidden love" or something like that, call it an idea like "the con" or "choke" or something a little like "sunshine", which would be totally ironic with a very dark, deep cover.

When I played Perfect Dark (same engine), I’d play as the alien, Elvis; he was short and harder to shoot because your default aim is at shoulder level and Elvis is a might bit shorter than that so your opponents have to target you instead of shooting aimlessly.

Is it considered breaking lease by not giving 30 day notice of moving due to circumstance even if lease is up?
The Assistant manager who was the former secretary asked over a month before the lease would be up if we were going to move to which I replied it was still unknown. Then when I returned to pay the rent for the final month I was asked again by the former ass. manager which I assumed was the new manager to which I replied more than likely yes due to me having a baby soon and the income changing. They also called and asked I guess as a review to which I replied yes it’s more definitive that we will have to. To which there was no rebuttal or questions. Yet as the bills rolled in it, we realized we didn’t have enough to make next months rent, now no longer the leased rate even if we wanted to. So we applied somewhere else and they sent a rental verification form to the office. Who called so upset about not getting a 30 day notice that we were moving even though 2 out of 3 inquiries were answered "yes" ending with a definitive yes. The newly appointed manager alleges he came by to speak about the lease but I’m home all day and never got a visitor. I did happen to find a notice saying simply "your lease is up in a (hand written 30) days." No please call office or notify us. A letter telling me what I already knew. Now we will be out before next monday but will they have grounds for any legal recourse? They have at least 6 other apartments like our floor plan vacant and ready to move in, so we aren’t hindering them from acquiring new tenants. If anything they are feeling the sting of yet another building being on the brink of becoming empty because their rent is simply too high.
Since your lease ended it switched to month to month. Most leases have a part in it that says either 30 or 45 days nottice is required. You told them yes but your nottice has to be written. They could keep your security deposit if you had to leave one. They could also take you to court for it. I would suggest going in and sitting down with the manager to explain exactly what happened. They may decide to just let you go. Just remember to be nice and respectful no matter how much of a jerk the manager can turn out to be because ultimately it his / her decision on what happens next.

When you get to the end of a lease, they automatically renew as month to month. So by not telling them in WRITING that you would be leaving, you have obligated yourself to another month’s rent.

Exactly when is your lease due to expire? If it expired on November 30, 2009 and if you are still living in the premises you would be considered "holding-over" thus converting to a month-to -month tenancy. By being a month-to month tenant now you are required to give a 30 Day Notice. If you are holding-over for a few days offer to pay the rent for those few days that you will be in the premises. Also ask for a final walk-through inspection.
If you move out before or on the day your lease expires you are not required to give notice that you are vacating the premises because the lease itself is notice to all parties. This is true in most, if not in all states.

Do you allow toy guns in your house?
I have a 4 year old stepson and we don’t believe in keeping him in a "bubble" his whole life will help him, if you get what I mean.(Everything he sees/plays with/etc is appropriate for his age) Anyhow, we do have a rule we don’t allow toy guns in the house or for him to have them. The only kind he is allowed to have is squirt guns in the Summer. I babysit another 4 year old boy, and today he came over with a Nerf gun. I’m going to let his mom know we don’t allow those kinds of toys at our house. Anyhow, what are your thoughts on this? Do you let your child have "gun toys" at this age, not at all, or when they’re older and understand better?
*All daycares I have worked at(3) didn’t allow children to have "guns" as well.
We’re not "sheltering" them from him, he knows they can be dangerous in real life. However, I just don’t see the point of it.
Russell, so just because we don’t allow toy guns..yet, you’re saying he’ll be fat? That makes no sense yet, and by the way we have 3 playgrounds within walking distance near us.
Preciousgem, he has done that if we’re talking a walk and he’s holding his squirt gun. We tell him to only shoot at "monsters". Like I said, we’re not sheltering him and he knows they can be dangerous in real life. I just don’t see the point in having them now. Maybe when he’s older we’ll allow some type, but for now he’s good.

pick up sticks or use their fingers as guns so it doesn’t matter if they have a toy or
not. Boys will pretend. It is the values you hold that you want to instill in your son.
Set some ground rules like only shoot purple aliens from another planet but never
pretend to shoot someone…etc. things like that. I personally would not allow realistic
looking guns in the house. Big yellow plastic guns that shoot blue nerf balls would be
okay as long as the child shoots leaves or something not alive. I would not allow
family pets to be used as targets. lol

BOOOOO…..kids like guns….hell, I started to learn about real guns at his age…wasn’t allowed to handle them mind you…but started to learn.
The best way to make someone safe around guns is to educate them on them, and make them respect them.
Don’t shelter them from them. Guns are everywhere, and all you have to do is make a fist and stick out your finger and BAM toy gun.
So what’s the harm in a real one?

Maybe its just because im a Texan but i believe children should have an early relationship with guns. But that also means you can teach him the safety hazards accompanying it and how to handle it but not at too early of an age. You take away toy guns, and your taking away American heritage. Centuries ago, children had toy weapons and they turned out fine.

We decided not to let our son have toy guns. One Christmas when he was about 4 or 5 we got him a tool set. Later that day he came out shooting everyone with the drill that he used as a gun. Toy guns are a way of life. You just need to teach him about guns and the dangers of guns as soon as he is old enough to understand. If you keep them away from him it will just make him more curious about them.

i’m 16 and i’ve played with nerf guns for a fairly long time and water guns for as long as i remember. the fear that you have is that he will come to like the nerf guns, which he will then associate with violence, and thus that violence is okay/fun.
if you teach him the right values in regard to violence, safety, etc., then i think its okay to let him play with the nerf guns.
on the other hand, its good 2 be patient
maybe wait until he is 6 or 7

Cops and robbers/cowboys and indian type games are as old as time. My 3 brothers and I (i’m 35)would take our cap guns and play for hours. We have gotten rid of all the cool playground equipment ie.. Big slides, merry-go rounds and jungle-jims. We’ve all but eliminated getting on a bike or scooter with out a styrafoam helmet. When you find him 17 yrs old sitting in a bean bag chair eat’n cheetoes, weighing 300lbs, play’n video games you’ll understand…..

when i was growing up my mom had the same rule she said we couldnt play with guns excpet for like squirt guns and stuff that look un realstic my brother had a nerf gun and i put it in my pants and let in stick out like i was a criminal and i got in trouble. but when i grew up a found a cap gun and my lil cousin would take it when i was at school and one time he pointed it and my stepdad and my step dad grabbed it and threw it away. i dont have kids but if i did i wouldnt let them play with toy guns except water pistols your doing the right thing

Everyone is getting waaay too bent out of shape about weapons. a kid can use a pencil as a deadly tool these days, keep that in mind.
My brothers and i (i’m now 20, my brothers are 24 and 30) used to run around the neighbourhood playing with guns >cap guns, nerf guns, rubber darts..ect< pretending to shoot eachother. We had loads of fun, laughed and played all day. I didn’t turn out so bad, neither my brothers or i have violent tendancies. My mother sat and explained to us when we were very little that where plastic guns are okay, real guns can hurt people. Set a line with your children so they know what not to cross. You can’t just expect them to know right from wrong, showing them how to play nice, and punish them when they cross the line teaches them a lot and shows when they grow up. my friends didnt have those lines and i’ve seen a lot of them messed up in some serious b.s.
Let the kid play with a toy gun, he’ll appreciate it when he’s older.

I never have got a movie with 3D so I doubt it. That would be a very nice feature to Netflix though. It says that Journey to the Center of the Earth comes in DVD and Blu-ray, so if you have Blu-ray player that’s the best quality you can get i suppose. Lets hope Netflix gets 3D movies!
