What do you think of the movie I LOVE YOU MAN?
It was a surprising good comedy. Though, I liked Segel, I thought he was better in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
In my opinion, I thought the same thing; that Segal seemed more humorous in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. But after I watched I Love You Man a few times I started to understand more of the jokes they were making. I crack up every time I watch Paul Rudd doing the "Slappin’ the bass" scene.

I am usually pretty easy on comedies, but I didn’t like this one. Maybe it is because I am female, but I felt really sorry for the guy. I usually don’t have issues laughing at other peoples misfortunes, but I felt genuinely sorry and embarrassed for the main character.

DragoDude: Seeing as how the subbed Ah! My Goddess is one of my favorite anime, I almost gave you an automatic, shotgun thumbs down. If you saw it in EngDub, then I agree…it is horrible, but the sub and RAW are epic. Advice: Do not rash Belldandy in Japan! Anyway, Belldandy is watching you…and she is not pleased, nor amused. Look out for the wind spells and a very pissed-off Holy Bell! LOLOL

Akira is definetly a great one and ghost in the shell is alwas a winner along with the grave of the fireflies.

Well most of them r my fav animes of all time like Ah My Goddess(I have burnt it on DVD and always loves to watch this awesome anime whenever I feel bored).
Aisheturuze Baby is an underrated but classic anime(really it hurts me that this anime never got as much of credit that it really deserve)
Arjuna is an unique anime which is quite balanced with environment message and entertainment.
Comic Party is hilarious and Death-Note well its one of a kind.But I think Vampire Knight is not good as people here really likes to say about that..to me Vampire Knight is awful.

okay so, i was like stranded somewhere up north likee michigan or something, haha.
2 of my friends were with mee and we stole someones car and drove to new yorrkk (: and for some reason paris hilton lived theree. very weird.
so then we went into her apartment and she wasnt there, but we went to the kitchen and theree was a CLOSET.
then we all changed into some of paris’s clothes andd we went through a doorr andd there was a garage type thing. and there was a sexy sports car theree so we all got in it and drovee for a long time.
we stopped alongg the way to eat breakfast lol (;
we got to a restaurant kind of likee ihop and it had breakfast foods in itt. but it only had bacon and pancakes. XD
so we ate a buncha pancakes andd then we drovee all the way to texas, but it looked like california or something causee there were lots of gay guys walking aroundd and women wiff their hair all did prettyy and fancy clothes (;
we went to a hair salon (not sure whhy) and the hair stylist was a gay guy and he was likee omg i loooovee your clothes! and i was like you know where we got emm? and then we all started talking at oncee we all saidd paris hiltons kitchen! lol
then the gay dudee like acted all surprised and he was likee ohhh myy goddd.

What really happened to the lost colony of Roanoke? Was there ever any remains or any clues as to what really happen there?

John White and the others were sure the colonists were there. They had seen smoke from the area they expected the colonists to be the day before, but since it was late in the day, the small fleet of three ships had decided to wait until the next day before landing. The next morning the ships fired their cannon to signal to the colonists that, after three years, relief had finally arrived. But there was no answer, no sign of life from Roanoke Island.
White, who was the governor of the colony, went ashore, hoping to find 113 people, among them his daughter Eleanor; her husband, Ananias Dare; and their child, White’s granddaughter, Virginia. The whole world knows what he found instead. There was no happy reunion, no colonists, just three letters, C-R-O, carved on a tree and a bit further on, carved on another tree, the word, "Croatoan".
When White had left the colony three years before, the colonists had been discussing a move north to what we now call Chesapeake Bay. An agreement had been reached that if the colonists did indeed move, they would carve their destination on a tree, with a cross if they had been in distress when they moved. White assumed that the "Croatoan" was a reference to where they had gone, and since there was no cross, White further assumed that the move had not been made in desperation, but that, in itself, was a further puzzle. Croatoan Island was south of Roanoke Island, and Chesapeake Bay to the north. It made no difference to White. He prepared to go to Croatoan, but fate, which had kept White away for so long, again interfered. A sudden gale blew up and battered the ships. Mooring off the coast was now too dangerous, and the ships were forced to return to England. White was never able to return to mount another search, and subsequent searches found no trace of the missing colonists. The mystery of the "Lost Colony" had been born.
The colony had actually been the second attempt to found an English colony on the eastern shore of North America. The first, which, like the second was sponsored by Sir Walter Raleigh, had also been a failure. White had accompanied this expedition, made up entirely of soldiers with a few specialists, and commanded by a cousin of Raleigh’s, Sir Richard Greenville, with Ralph Lane, a twenty-five year old favorite of Queen Elizabeth’s as the colony’s governor. White had been the artist and mapmaker. In short order, the colonists managed to alienate the Indian tribes in the area, killing a major chief, Wingina. When sir Francis Drake stopped at the colony, the colonist abandoned Roanoke, and returned to England with Drake.
The second attempt made every effort to succeed where the first had failed. Men, women, and children were in the make-up, showing that these people planned to stay. It was decided that Roanoke Island was inadequate to grow crops for the colonists, so it was planned to settle them north of the Island in the Chesapeake Bay area. Things began to go wrong almost immediately. The pilot of the fleet, one Simao Fernandes, who had also been the pilot on the first expedition, brought the colonists once again to Roanoke, claiming he had no instructions to take them anywhere else and insisted that the colonists off-load on the island. An attempt was made, with the help of a friendly Indian named Manteo, who had also been along on the earlier attempt, to establish friendly relations with the local tribes.
Unfortunately, before this could be done, one of the tribes, the Roanoacs, ambushed and killed one of White’s assistants, George Howe, while the latter was fishing. Making the same mistake the earlier colony had made, White ordered a "revenge" attack on the Roanoacs, but by a tragic mistake, it was Manteos tribe, the friendly Croatoans who were attacked. The colonists were, with Manteos help, able to convince the Croatoans that it was just a mistake, but there can be no doubt that any chance for whole-hearted cooperation had been lost. The ships that had brought the colonists were still off shore, waiting for favorable winds to return to England. Then the colonists decided that additional supplies were needed and, despite his protest that his place was on Roanoke Island, White was chosen to go. He reluctantly agreed, setting sail on August 27th, 1587,leaving behind his daughter, and his grandchild, who had just been born on August 18th. He would never se either of them again.
White hoped to be back the following spring, but Fate went out of his way to place obstacles in this path. First, stormy seas delayed his passage back to England, and by the time of his arrival, the threat of the Spanish Armada had caused Queen Elizabeth to commandeer every ship for defense. No ships or any supplies could be spared for White. Even after the defeat of the Armada, the threat of Spain seemed great enough to the Queen, to keep England

Some people’s parents still live in the dark ages and are ignorant. So they really can’t fathom the progress that society has made. I really don’t look at people for the color of their skin. Skin color doesn’t influence or sway my opinion on a person. I’m white and my boyfriend is black. My dad wasn’t really comfortable with it at first because he’s never really gotten to know any black people on a personal level. After getting to know my boyfriend, he’s completely cool. He actually loves my boyfriend now. No doubt; it bothered me that he felt that way at first. I was really mad; but it takes time – not all people are going to see eye to eye.

Its the view the media and even a good amount of black people have given off. If you asked an asian person who has never seen a black person outside of what on tv to describe one you’ll hear every bad stereotype about us. Black people’s history is…rough to put it lightly. BUT I’m black and have dated more men outside my race then in it and both of my sisters are dating men outside of their race so I think it all just depends on where you are, the parents you have, and how important they think you should keep to your "culture" a.k.a date your own race.

If you ever get a chance to watch the movie South Pacific. It’s all about dealing with people outside your own race. There’s a song that goes:

In the US, there’s that little history of slavery that puts a stigma on people with black skin. In Europe, that stigma of black people is not there.

Truth be told, it is considered a downgrade in social status for any race (non-black) to marry a black person, more so if the male is non-black and the female is black.

The perception of blacks was conceived during slavery in North and South America. It was further reinforced when Western Europe overran all of Africa in less than ten years during the 19th century. All of this seemed to justify the Hispanic, the Anglos (American, Canadian, and British), and Frances perception of blacks. They all saw blacks as violent, lazy, ignorant, and sub-human beasts that had an unquenchable thirst for sex, and pursuit of pleasure including music, dance, and sports. The white men in all these cultures took their perception of blacks to every corner of the world that they conquered. Soon even East Asians began to look down on blacks. When NON-Whites migrated to the US they continued to support such racist views of blacks to ensure that they would NOT be less fortunate than blacks. Therefore, if you married a black person you were dooming your future children to the same faith as the black man. The sad thing is most blacks were brainwashed so well that they abandoned their original African culture. Consequently they had no way of understanding themselves through their ancestral culture. In time they began to take on the negative characteristics that the white men had set for them. This ensured that most of their future children would be doomed to that life style. These racist views of African Americans still persist today in the US in the Asian, Hispanic, white, Newly arrived African, and even the African American communities. Why WOULDN’T everyone avoid African Americans like the plague.

I don’t know, but where I come from you are looked down on if you date a white person. It is seen as selling out your race, because white people are viewed as small minded racist who are obsessed with thinking they are better than others. Growing up I heard if they can’t use your comb don’t bring them home. Bringing home an Asian or hispanic wasn’t seen as a great thing either.
