IMDB rating: 6.40 Plot: It all started when a bunch of commandos (including Jackie of course) kidnapped three scientist who were studying very powerful meteorite fragments. The mission was a success – until one of their superiors double crossed them. The commandos were then killed in a chopper crash, except Jackie who fell out of the chopper. After that, Jackie was picked up by a a tribe of South African Indians, who then asked him his name. Sadly, Jackie had lost his memory and shouted ‘Who Am I?!’ which led the Indians to think that it was his name. So he started learning their cultures and customs, while also trying to pick up their language. Later, he started having memories of things that happened before the crash, and he decided to leave the Indians in search for his identity… |

I can't take it anymore!PLEASE HELP!!!?
Hello,
I’m 12 years old (Girl) , and the problem is my sister she’s 13 years old. We share a room still we have ever since! She goes into my drawers and jumble up my clothes and one time she even took my journal/diary and read it. She calls me ugly , dirty , stupid , tall (She’s 5′2 and I’m 5′4 1/2 , I’m thinner though) and black (because she’s light skinned and I’m brown). She does give me money and clothes when I need them , but I have to pay her back sometimes. Any time I’m in the bath room , she opens the door and say "Hi" . I say I wanna be an actress and singer , she tells me I’m too ugly and I can’t sing. I can sing , and I think I’m extremely beautiful. She tells me I can’t have no boyfriend because I’m too tall and ugly. She stays in my business and personal life , and she tells my brother ( my only 2 siblings). It gets really annoying. Everyone at school hates me , and it’s bad enough to be trapped in a house with someone who hates you. She thinks she can tell me what to do and when I don’t listen she gets mad.Talking isn’t really going to help!
When we were little we use to get along so good , but as we aged up she stared to just talk about me. And anytime I say I don’t care she says "Yes she do". And My favorite singing is a 13 year old girl and I love her music I listen to it all the time and she says I’m obsessed with her! And if she watches a TV show I can’t because she thinks I’m copying , and I can’t listen to the same music she does , or watch the same shows if we didn’t start at the same time or if someone didn’t show it to us.
I’ve heard it all. I hate you , I wish you were dead! It really get’s on my nerves. Sometimes people don’t want have time for that stuff. All of the other family loves me , they said I’m great! But it’s just her I have a problem with and the rest of the family doesn’t really likes her. I don’t do any of the stuff she does to me! It’s been happening for years and I’m sick of it!!!
Question: What can/should I do?
i know it sucks! but it sounds like she’s jealous of you. even though she’d probably never admit that, i think that’s what’s at the root of all her behavior. she probably needs to just grow up more. just because she’s a year older than you doesn’t mean she’s mature. she’s still only 13. she has her own problems and insecurities and she’s taking that out on you.
you could ignore it, but i know that’s difficult, and sounds nearly impossible. but if you can, and develop a thick skin, and learn not to give a f*ck, i think you’ll find it’s easier to deal with her.
how about talking to your parents. both you and your sister are still young, so ask them if there’s somewhere else you can sleep, or if they can talk to her about this. tell them exactly what you wrote here, and that you need help dealing with it. (my guess is that their advice will be than any answers that you get on here…)
just make sure that you stand up for yourself. think of dealing with your sister as practice for when you have to deal with people when you get older. remind yourself of why she’s acting the way she is, and tell yourself that you feel bad for her, because she’s the one with the problems.
what helps me when i can’t talk to someone face-to-face is i write them a letter. it lets me say everything i need to say without having to directly tell them. this way they can’t interrupt me or walk away, and they end up knowing exactly how you feel.
also, what about being so nice to your sister? she probably likes being a b*tch because she knows it’ll get a reaction out of you. so try "killing her with kindness", and whenever she throws you an insult, or is being mean, just laugh it off and smile. when she tells you that you’re copying her, just say something like "it’s because i look up to you" with a smile. it might take her a while to get used to this, but if you start showing her that you’re not going to take her crap, and that you’re just going to stop reacting to it, she’ll probably stop.
so i gave you a few things that you could do. it sounds like you’re in a difficult situation, so there’s no easy answer. also, why not trying to reach out to people at school and find some people to hangout with. it’ll give you time away from your sister, and make you happy outside your home.
good luck!

I’m sad for you. Your situation sounds so frustrating. I think one problem is space. it would help if you could find more of your own private space and time. Maybe you could hang out in your brothers’ room sometimes instead of your bedroom or livingroom. The other problem is that since you are so close in age, your sister compares herself to you. Many girls her age feel awkward and cranky due to the hormones from puberty, but maybe for some reason, she especially feels inadequate and unsure about herself.
If you can’t find the space and time for now, then I think the best thing you can do for your mental and emotional survival is to PRAISE her more often. That’s right, if you can sincerely praise and compliment her more often, then she will soften toward you. You sound like you’re stronger in that you can tolerate disagreement and abuse more than her, so if you could continue with this plan even when she is occasionally mean to you, then within a few months she will be so addicted to hearing nice things coming out of your mouth about her, that you will become her hero. Make sure you also often praise her in front of people she admires (but don’t overdo it or it will sound fake, and make sure the things you praise deserve to be praised.) Keep track with notches in your diary how many praises a day versus insults–and watch how the insults and meanness with time will decrease.
You can do it, and you’ll feel good about this as you do it. Good luck:)

i think they r jealous of your beauty and talent!!! can u email me the 13 year old singer you like?
mollie | Jan 17, 2010
You just have to ignore it. I would start killing her with kindness. Just be as nice and as understanding as you possibly can. Let everything she says to you roll right off your back. Deep down I seriously doubt that she means half of what she is saying. She is jealous of you.
Start looking at her life. Take her feelings into consideration at every turn. Be supportive and complementary towards her. Most people who lash out like this are very insecure. Try to build her confidence up and maybe she will stop trying to tear yours down.
Be patient and kind. Eventually she will wake up and start feeling horrible for how she is treating you.

Snapdragons show incomplete dominance in the trait of flower color. Heterozygotes with both a red and white allele express pink flowers. A cross between red-flowered and white-flowered snapdragons produced an all pink-flowered F1. Crossing members of the F1 gave an F2 of 42 red, 110 pink, and 48 white flowered plants.
a. What is the theoretical ratio in which F2 progeny would be expected to occur?
b. How many of the 200 F2 progeny would be expected in each of the phenotype classes?

What does this phrase mean? (read description please)?
"maybe god can be on both sides of the gun." ive always thought it meant that god can be the one shooting, but he can also be the one that’s shot. Ive heard it’s meant different things though? what do you think it means?
btw the phrase is from the song "say when" by the fray
it means – things are not always what you think they are.

Why is it so horrible when other races date a black person?
I really wanna know. I just keep seeing these questions about people saying, im white my date is black my parents are furious, or im latina but my date BLACK please help me. I mean what is it? Its like another race can choose from any race on the planet but heaven forbid it be the black race. So i just want some honest answers on the mentality of the whole dating black people is almost a sin thing. Just curious
If your latina, your NOT white.. sorry hun.
Look at the natural world, different species don’t date and that’s the way it should and shall be.
Joe S | Jan 02, 2010
It’s not horrible, it’s only horrible when it comes to the parents and the jealous recipient(which is always a female). It’s the year 2010, nobody cares anymore about interracial dating, you thinking too much into it.

Some people’s parents still live in the dark ages and are ignorant. So they really can’t fathom the progress that society has made. I really don’t look at people for the color of their skin. Skin color doesn’t influence or sway my opinion on a person. I’m white and my boyfriend is black. My dad wasn’t really comfortable with it at first because he’s never really gotten to know any black people on a personal level. After getting to know my boyfriend, he’s completely cool. He actually loves my boyfriend now. No doubt; it bothered me that he felt that way at first. I was really mad; but it takes time – not all people are going to see eye to eye.
Cori | Jan 02, 2010
Its the view the media and even a good amount of black people have given off. If you asked an asian person who has never seen a black person outside of what on tv to describe one you’ll hear every bad stereotype about us. Black people’s history is…rough to put it lightly. BUT I’m black and have dated more men outside my race then in it and both of my sisters are dating men outside of their race so I think it all just depends on where you are, the parents you have, and how important they think you should keep to your "culture" a.k.a date your own race.
Cassie01 | Jan 02, 2010
It all boils down to how you were raised. It’s not only black people, but people of another race than your own.
If you ever get a chance to watch the movie South Pacific. It’s all about dealing with people outside your own race. There’s a song that goes:
You’ve got to be taught to hate and fear,
You’ve got to be taught from year to year,
It’s got to be drummed in your dear little ear,
You’ve got to be carefully taught.
You’ve got to be taught to be afraid,
Of people whose eyes are oddly made,
And people whose skin is a different shade,
You’ve got to be carefully taught.
You’ve got to be taught before it’s too late,
Before you are 6 or 7 or 8.
To hate all the people your relatives hate,
You’ve got to be carefully taught.
In the US, there’s that little history of slavery that puts a stigma on people with black skin. In Europe, that stigma of black people is not there.
Lighthouse | Jan 02, 2010
Truth be told, it is considered a downgrade in social status for any race (non-black) to marry a black person, more so if the male is non-black and the female is black.
? a brain ? | Jan 02, 2010
The perception of blacks was conceived during slavery in North and South America. It was further reinforced when Western Europe overran all of Africa in less than ten years during the 19th century. All of this seemed to justify the Hispanic, the Anglos (American, Canadian, and British), and Frances perception of blacks. They all saw blacks as violent, lazy, ignorant, and sub-human beasts that had an unquenchable thirst for sex, and pursuit of pleasure including music, dance, and sports. The white men in all these cultures took their perception of blacks to every corner of the world that they conquered. Soon even East Asians began to look down on blacks. When NON-Whites migrated to the US they continued to support such racist views of blacks to ensure that they would NOT be less fortunate than blacks. Therefore, if you married a black person you were dooming your future children to the same faith as the black man. The sad thing is most blacks were brainwashed so well that they abandoned their original African culture. Consequently they had no way of understanding themselves through their ancestral culture. In time they began to take on the negative characteristics that the white men had set for them. This ensured that most of their future children would be doomed to that life style. These racist views of African Americans still persist today in the US in the Asian, Hispanic, white, Newly arrived African, and even the African American communities. Why WOULDN’T everyone avoid African Americans like the plague.

I don’t know, but where I come from you are looked down on if you date a white person. It is seen as selling out your race, because white people are viewed as small minded racist who are obsessed with thinking they are better than others. Growing up I heard if they can’t use your comb don’t bring them home. Bringing home an Asian or hispanic wasn’t seen as a great thing either.

Xanax addiction? more info please? Wellbutrin & eye spasms…?
I’ve just been perscribed Xanax on top of my Wellbutrin (which i was perscribed for anxiety, as well – chose wellbutrin because I wasnt interested in weight gain that comes with other anti-anxiety pills) Anyhow.. Its been about a month and a half on the Wellbutrin, and I feel much better… my moods are less up and down also.. BUT – in the winter – driving on horrible roads – my anxiety goes through the freakin roof – therefore – I’ve got my Xanax.
I’ve read that its really addictive if abused… and the body builds up a tollerance pretty fast…
I’m just curious how often I would have to take it for that to happen.. and also what is this addiction like? do you get sick? is ur anxiety worse?? (I’m not consdering it, just curious lol!)
and if ur body builds a tollerance, does that mean you have to eventually take more and more for it to work??
I wont have to really take it after all this awful snow is gone… 22 inches here!
oh ya.. and another lil weird thing – my left eyelid seems to spasm every once in a while since I’ve taken the Wellbutrin.. mentioned it to my dr, but she didnt seem concerned.. it doesnt bother me, it just lasts a few seconds.. its just weird feeling.. anyone else have that happen to them on any of these drugs?
If you have issues with weight do what I did – try colon cleanse. If you have the desire to lose weight its qualities help plenty – however those same qualities also help those who are trying to bulk up. Brilliant! IMDB rating: 7.30 Plot: On a warm September evening, college professor Ethan Learner, his wife Grace, and their daughter Emma are attending a recital. Their 10-year-old son Josh is playing cello — beautifully, as usual. His younger sister looks up to him, and his parents are proud of their son. On the way home, they all stop at a gas station on Reservation Road. There, in one terrible instant, he is taken from them forever. On a warm September evening, law associate Dwight Arno and his 11-year-old son Lucas are attending a baseball game. Their favorite team, the Red Sox, is playing – and, hopefully, heading for the World Series. Dwight cherishes his time spent with Lucas. Driving his son back to his ex-wife, Lucas’ mother Ruth Wheldon, Dwight heads towards his fateful encounter at Reservation Road. The accident happens so fast that Lucas is all but unaware, while Ethan — the only witness — is all too aware, as a panicked Dwight speeds away. The police are called, and an investigation begins. Haunted by the tragedy, both fathers react in unexpected ways, as do Grace and Emma. As a reckoning looms, the two fathers are forced to make the hardest choices of their lives. |

I'm driving from San Antonio, TX. to Las Vegas. Is the road safe as far as violence from gangs?
I’m driving from El Paso, Texas to Las Vegas right after Christmas. I have been hearing that gang violence on reservations is getting worser and growing everyday. Something about the cartels recruiting young guys from the reservations. Anyways I’m going to Vegas to visit family with my boyfriend and sister and figured the road trip would be less than the flight cost.
Is it safe to travel through some of the reservations on the way to Vegas??? My boyfriend says that – thats all there is on the way! However he drove many years ago, & doesn’t really remember.
I’m afraid of like people hiding out in the deserted areas waiting to mug people passing by. I’m from Mexico so I am just afraid. We would be driving during the day only since we got a hotel in Las Cruces to avoid driving at night PLEASE HELP US!!!! ANY INFO WOULD HELP OR TIPS
THANKS
Don’t stop there then. They are not going to have road trap to catch you. Make sure you have gas before you hit El Paso. Yes it is safe to drive through reservations! I mean really… Are they going to chase you guys down?? Do not cause trouble then you will not have to worry. Common since.

How Can I Feel Grateful For Everything I Have? Help?
I’m a 14 year old girl. And to be quite honest, i got everything my heart could desire since i was little. But I know i’m spoiled & its bad i don’t feel grateful i just expect it ): I don’t want to feel this way, but i when i want something, i eventually get it and then the thrill of getting it wears off. (it’s like i always want what i can’t have >:( ) Do you get my point of view? I am aware of the people in third world countries who are living with nothing. But growing up with everything, I see everything in life in a highly negative way. I hardly ever look at the bright side of things. I guess you could call me a pessimest. But i don’t want to feel this way! When i walk into math class in the morning i want to be at a point where i can say "Wow, i am so lucky, the weather’s great to day, and I get to learn from a nice teacher!" Not "OMG! i am soooo tired, wow, i wish i was prettier. I want to sleeeep. It’s too early! Ugh why to we have to copy all these notes!!" Which is usually what i cant help but thinking. I want to be able to appericiate everything! Because i have so much! But i still have so many negative thioughts about everything, always wanting more,….. How can i come to a state of mind where i can look at the bright side, appericiate the important things, and be so grateful when i get something? I know it would make me a much happier, pure person.
Never. Stop screwin around.

You’re 14, enjoy the now. Enjoy that you take things for granted; it means that you have had no real hardship. When the hardships come, and they will, you will look back and realize how much you enjoyed this time of innocence and then you will appreciate it for what it was. You are young and inexperienced, enjoy it because that’s what being young and inexperienced is for.
I don’t know a Katrina Kid who hasn’t aged beyond his/her years here. My niece lost her senior year, my son lost his first big semester to college, another niece will be scared for the rest of her life with memories of not being able to save an elderly woman she cared for. Hundreds of thousands of little kids lost their homes, toys, and sense of security. You are lucky that you have not had to cope with any of this and for that I say enjoy your security, enjoy having everything, enjoy being negative over the menial things in life. The day will come when you will become truly jaded and you will miss this innocence.

Oh honey, baby, sweetheart, what a thing to ask!
It’s not your fault. Your parents had everything to do with it.
And it’s really not their fault, as every parent always wants the
best for their children. I guess it’s the fact that they could give
you whatever you wanted when you wanted it that’s at fault here.
Their only fault is that they didn’t exercise parental control as to
how much to give you based on the merit system.
If you want something, you need to work for it!
Here’s how to do it.
Set your sights on something you really, really want; say an iphone,
or a ticket to a Hanna Montana concert. It can be anything you want.
Just don’t ask your parents or anyone else for it. Do tell them you
want to get it on your own and do ask them for advise on how to do
it. Their advise might be to do some baby sitting, maybe some
lawn mowing, may be even selling lemonade at a busy intersection.
It doesn’t matter. What does matter is for you to understand the
true value of your work. Only then will you be able to appreciate
it’s rewards. They include self discipline and personal pride!
You may not succeed at first, but just keep trying and don’t give up.
Once you do this, you will be able to understand what it means to
be humble and able to help others.
Know there is more to you than you realize!
Good luck to you!
